Judge Tilman E. "Tripp" Self officiates NCAA National Championship football game

For the last 19 years, Judge Tilman E. “Tripp” Self, III has officiated NCAA football on weekends. Since 2002, Judge Self has worked in the Southern Conference of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). On January 7, 2017, Judge Tripp Self was the umpire on the crew selected to officiate the FCS National Championship game between James Madison University and Youngstown State University held in Frisco, Texas. James Madison won the contest 28-14.
