In 2010, Judge Pipkin was named one of the top 5 under 40 Rising Stars in the south metro area by H Magazine, and in 2012 he was recognized as one of the top 14 under 40 in the State of Georgia by Southern Journal Magazine.

Judge Pipkin served for seven years as an Assistant District Attorney for the Flint Judicial Circuit, where he prosecuted numerous felony cases. In the summer of 2012, Judge Pipkin began serving as Solicitor-General of Henry County after being appointed to that post to fill the vacancy left by Charles A. Spahos. He was reelected Solicitor-General in 2014.

Over the past 15 years, Judge Pipkin has been an adjunct faculty member, teaching criminal law courses for Gordon State College, Mercer University and for the Emory University School of Law. He has served on the Haven House Board of Directors and on the Speedway Children’s Charity Board of Directors at Atlanta Motor Speedway; he is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Henry County Bar Association, and a former Rotarian. While Solicitor-General, Judge Pipkin was elected by his peers to serve on the Executive Council for the Solicitors-General Association of Georgia. And he was elected by the District Attorneys and Solicitors-General of this State to serve as Vice-Chair of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council, which oversees the training and legislative agenda for all prosecutors in Georgia.

Judge Pipkin is a member of Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church. He is married to his lovely wife Jennifer Pipkin and they reside in McDonough, Georgia.
